How we Started
Angela Toon
I have been practising Nails and Beauty for over 25 years.
I have been teaching all aspects of Nails and Beauty for 20 years from FE College to Private Beauty Schools. I studied for my Certificate in Education at Wolverhampton University and my Beauty Education started at Walsall College.
I had my own Beauty salon called 'Beauty 2000' in Lichfield for 10 years where I first started training my staff, this was the start of my training career.
Since 2007 I have been performing treatments in my home salon and teaching at private schools.
In 2013 I decided that I would like to teach courses the way I believe they should be, so I opened Angie's Beauty Academy.
As these courses are from my home salon, student numbers are low. I take a maximum of 3 students, this I believe to a better learning and understanding.
Some Courses are on a one-to-one basis ONLY.
My courses will also still run with 1 student enrolled.

Kirsty-Ray
In January 2019 I am pleased and so proud that my daughter, Kirsty-Ray who has over 10 years experience in the Nail & Beauty industry started her career as a tutor, teaching with myself at Angie’s Beauty Academy.
Kirsty-Ray studied for her NVQ in Beauty Therapy at Leeds City College in 2012 and worked has experience in the industry from her hands on in Salons and Spa's.
Kirsty-Ray completed her teaching qualifications at South Staffordshire College in 2017 and her assessors Award at Yorkshire College of Beauty in 2022.
Kirsty-Ray has also attended many 1 & 2 Day Private Beauty Training Courses.
